Yin Yoga & Anatomy workshop is the foundation of this practice we are moving from a functional approach and let go of the form/aesthetic of the pose. This will liberate the practitioner to find its own practice according to its unique range of motion. We are sharing with you the archetypal Asanas of the Yin repertoire and their variations. as well as the Tattvas or principles of this quiet practice.

Saturday - Morning Session
Practice : Yin Yoga for the Spine - This sequence is targeting the spinal Column exploring the 6 directions of the spine, decompressing the inter-vertebral discs and removing stagnation of the deep tissues around the lower spine
Theory : Introduction to the functional approach of the practice. Why the slow rhythm is the key feature of Yin Yoga.
Saturday - Afternoon Session
Practice : Yin Yoga for the hips - This sequence is is focusing around the pelvis, using deep lunges and lower body poses to play with compression around the hips as well as exploring our range of motion.
Theory : Exploring the 3 main tissues related to Yoga practice from a Taoist analysis, we only need to relate to Muscles/Connective Tissues/Bones to expose the 2 main restrictions of movement in the body and understand the mechanical aspect of the pose.
Sunday - Morning Session
Practice : Double effect - This sequence is combining 2 Yin poses to interplay with antagonist group muscles and asymmetric poses.
Theory : Exploring the 8 major points of compression in the body, understanding skeletal variations and the uniqueness of every individuals in their yoga practice.
Sunday - Afternoon Session
Practice : All around - This sequence is targeting upper and lower body to feel the simple yet deep effect of the Yin Yoga practice all over the body.
Theory : The 4 Tattvas (principles) of Yin Yoga will convey the essence of the Yin practice from a bio-mechanical point of view as well as examining the psychological impact it as on the Yogi.
