Yin Yoga Immersion in Energy Arts

Yin Yoga Immersion - Practice & Theory - Language : French 🇫🇷

In this workshop, we offer a combined study and meditative practice of Nei Jing Tu and Yin Yoga. The poetic yet pragmatic vision of the Taoists is reflected in their teachings. Nei Jing Tu is the symbolic landscape of the human body's mystical energy system.

This is a card presenting a meditative practice in the Chinese Taoist tradition, considered to be "inner alchemy". Practitioners of Yoga and Taoism seek to expand their consciousness by "cultivating" or "purifying" the energies that circulate within their bodies. To be effective, a certain understanding of these energies, their circulation and their functions is necessary. The Nei Jing Tu is a symbolic representation of these technical details.

Immersion program

SATURDAY October 18th

9.00 - 12.00

Practice - Yin Yoga & Anchoring the breath - Ting or inner listening

This first practice of Nei Jing Tu aims to calm the mind and emotions, while developing Ting the quality of listening and knowledge required for this type of practice. After a few Yin poses to open the body, we'll explore the 6 regions of the body to cultivate, as well as the ability to link them together through breathing techniques.

Pause 10m

Theory - Interior Landscape Map

Historical and theoretical introduction to Nei Jing Tu. The Nei Jing Tu diagram depicts a person seated in meditation, the body configured like a Chinese landscape. The high mountain peaks represent the head, the spine a winding mountain path, the back of the neck a multi-storey pagoda and the lower abdomen a deep body of water.

14.00 - 17.00

Theory - The Lower Dantian

Explanation of the iconography and various physiological and anatomical correspondences of the body. Introduction to the Lower Dantian, the storage place of original energy (Jing or essence), transmitted by parents through heredity and genetics.

Pause 10m

Practice - Yin Yoga & Nei Jing Tu - Cultivating the lower Dantian

This course combines breathing techniques with Yin Yoga poses . It prepares us for the first stage of Nei Jing Tu meditation: Following the Buffalo and Pushing the Plough. The Buffalo represents the instinctive, uncontrolled movement of your diaphragm - the involuntary, spontaneous rhythm of your breathing. Pushing the Plough is deep abdominal breathing, sometimes called "Diaphragmatic breathing". It's the fundamental breathing technique.

SUNDAY, October 19

9.00 - 12.00

Theory - Central Dantian

Understanding of the importance of the Central Dantian, located just above the diaphragm, at the level of the lungs and heart. It manifests itself physically in the good circulation of oxygen and blood. In Taoist inner alchemy, this is the area where Qi is transformed into Shen energy. It is also the emotional center.

Pause 10m

Practice - Yin Yoga & Nei Jing Tu - Cultivating the Central Dantian

This class combines breathing techniques with Yin Yoga poses . When the breath calms, the mind calms. When the mind calms, the heart calms. If the heart calms down, the practitioner can connect with and regulate his Qi. The Shepherd is located in the center of the chest, the flower of the heart chakra. A practice that combines passive breathing and cardiac coherence to find the suspension of breath and connect with the movements of the heart.

14.00 - 17.00

Theory - The Upper Dantian

The Upper Dantian is located on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the brain. It is considered the receptacle of Shen, an energy considered more subtle than Qi. Shen is spirit and intelligent consciousness. It is the result of the cultivation of jing/essence, which rises through the heart and becomes Qi, then Shen.

Pause 10m

Practice - Yin Yoga & Nei Jing Tu - Cultivating the higher Dantian

This course combines breathing techniques with Yin Yoga poses . The upper dantian is located in the center of the brain. This sphere of consciousness includes the roots and flowers of your sixth and seventh chakras. Hold your eyes in Shambhavi Mudra and passively observe how natural, uncontrolled inhalation and exhalation affect the upper dantian.
