Integral and modular Yin Yoga courses

Whether you are an experienced practitioner or a beginner, the Yin yoga approach will enhance any other yoga practice and introduce you to introspective qualities. Our teachings engage the practitioner to a more contemplative path of yoga that prepares mind and body for meditation.

Our courses are given both in-person and online.

Yin yoga is another approach to postural yoga. Physically, Yin Yoga focuses more on the connective tissues, and thus develops flexibility like no other type of yoga. It prepares the meditator for a prolonged sitting practice. Each posture is held in a relaxed manner for a longer period of time, thus cultivating concentration of the mind. In other words, relaxation is the way and observation is the key to this practice. This approach differs from more Yang types of yoga, where we engage the muscles by pushing our bodies to achieve the ideal vision of the pose. Yin Yoga cultivates surrender and acceptance of the body's structure. Flexibility inevitably follows, but relaxation is the heart of the practice.

We embrace this approach to yoga because its inherent qualities meet the needs of the modern world, starting with slowing down and introspection.

Our teaching methodology is both functional and methodical. Our aim is to give yoga practitioners and teachers the necessary tools to benefit from and share the practice of Yin yoga.

Our approach is intended to benefit all types of practitioners by emphasising the diversity of the group and the unique nature of each individual.

Our Yin Yoga training modules have three main themes:

Module - Anatomy and Functional Approach
50 Hours

In this first training module, we share with you a unique practice methodology based on the functional approach. This approach was developed by Paul Grilley, Yin Yoga founder. We will learn the 14 skeletal segments, the 10 myofascial groups and the 7 archetypal poses. In order to adapt the practice to the needs of each practitioner.

Anatomy and Functional Approach

Module - Meridian, Chinese Medicine and Taoism - 50 Hours

In this module, we use the practice of Yin Yoga as a platform to explore the meridian network of Chinese medicine. The practice of Yin Yoga combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine offers a unique experience of learning a health system and methodology that allows the practitioner to regulate their life force called Qi or Prana. This training module is largely influenced by Taoist philosophy and reconnects with the roots of Yin Yoga.

Meridian, Chinese Medicine and Taoism

Module - Meditation and Philosophy
50 Hours

This module will introduce you to the philosophy and metaphysics of yoga, through the study of the yoga sutras of Maharishi Patanjali and the ontological approach of Samkhya philosophy. In parallel, we will develop a meditative approach to the pacification of the mind. Again, the practice of Yin Yoga will be used as a platform to develop a space for observation and introspection, notably by merging Asanas (poses), Pranayama (breathing) and Dharana (concentration).
